Every day skiing is an adventure. There is something about gliding down a hill, in the moment, floating past trees, carving your way up and around, over and down, the ground gently lowering you down, that is exhilarating and calming at the same time … I first skied in Austria, 1974, with leather lace up boots and skis that had a strap around my leg, behind an old Austrian ski instructor. Back and forth across the hill, over the bumps and then turn, all day long … and I was hooked!
